- Hello everyone,
- I am very excited and thrilled to be serving as your President for 2008–2009. Thank you for your confidence and continuing support. I am looking forward to a fabulous, fun and successful year for IWSA.
Our Executive Board already has some new ideas for the upcoming year. If you have any thoughts you’d like to share or wish to assist with a committee, please contact me or any of the officers or committee chairmen. We welcome your input! The 2008–2009 Board Roster is posted on the website at www.iwsatx.com.
President Elect, Cynthia Flores, hopes to have several speakers for the luncheons, this year. She is also working on scheduling Continuing Education classes. If you have any suggestions for topics or classes, please contact Cynthia.
Karla Moeller, 2nd Vice President, is hard at work planning our two fundraisers. The fall fundraiser will be new and exciting! I will not divulge this surprise event – I will leave that for Karla. I promise you she will be revealing all the details of this fantastic event very, very soon.
I hope everyone is planning on attending our installation luncheon on Friday, June 27th, at the Bright Shawl, 819 Augusta. Entertainment Chair, Candy Price, has been working very hard to make this a special day for all. I want to thank Candy in advance for making this installation one we’ll long remember. Please plan to arrive early for the Champagne Reception which will begin at 11:00am.
Again, in closing, I am hoping for another great year for IWSA. I encourage everyone to attend all the luncheons and become more involved in our organization. I guarantee the experience will be rewarding!
